Harvington Mill Dry Dock

Based in the Heart of the Evesham Vale, along the River Avon

Welcome to Harvington Mill Dry Dock, where tradition meets inovation on the serene waterways, nestled in the heart of Evesham Vale, Harvington.  Our dry dock repair facility has been a trusted name in canal boat maintenance and restoration for over 20years.

Our dry dock has all year, all weather poly tunnel for the repairing of your narrow boats.  We are unfortunately unable to provide electricity given our location, so your own generator will be required.  The use of our dry dock for repair, could be used for major repairs such as welding, painting and inspections for most narrow boats and barges.

Accessible by boat and car, the dry dock is a secure private location, accessible by a key coded gated entrance that is locked at all times.  There is parking available for cars and vans located next to the dock.

Prices are from £75 per day, payable in advance, along with any additional days.  All bookings will be confirmed on our calendar and by a email confirmation, along with the access code to our driveway gate.

History

The dry dock is situated next to a historical grade II listed building, hence the name of the dry dock.  Harvington Mill dates back to the 1800's, with new equipment being installed in the 1900's, some remains can be seen today.  The dry dock was built around 1970-80s as a extension to the canal docks and restoration works to the Robert Aickman locks.  Robert Aickman was one of the founders of Inland Waterways Assosciation who campaigned for navigable waterways and this lock was named in recognition of what he achieved.  Robert Aickman New Lock 1982.
